BEDA 13

On this day in 1976 The United States Treasury Department reintroduced the two-dollar bill as a Federal Reserve Note.

In 2004 the Royal Canadian Mint released the first colorized coin in general circulation, featuring the image of a poppy.

Today I had an interview for my work placement. I ended up arriving early and had to wait until about 2:15 (my interview was at 2:00) because the chef wasn't there yet. I think it went well, and they seemed to like me. When they asked if I had any questions I asked about the team atmosphere and they seemed impressed by the question.

Interview tips

-Don't be afraid to ask questions. Questions can show the employer that you are really interested. On the other hand, the wrong questions might make potential employers thing you are unprepared.

-Don't get too personal, employers don't need to know your life story.

-If you are asked about your weaknesses, try to take the negative into a positive. Avoid speaking negatively about yourself as much as possible, but don't say you don't have any weaknesses. Be confident, but not arrogant.

-If the interviewer is taking notes, give them time to write after you finish answering, don't ramble on to fill the empty space.

-Do some research. Find out what job you are applying for, what company you are applying to, and what they are all about, who will be interviewing you, etc.
