My thoughts on the new youtube layout.
My first impression of the new layout on youtube wasn't all that great because I was used to the old layout. Now that I have gotten used to it I think it is time to review it.
At the top they now have the "edit subscription" button which lets you change settings without going to the user page. The section to watch more videos from a user is now located above the video player which isn't all that different to me. I like the ability to auto play your subscriptions rather than going back to the home screen. The like and dislike button provides a simpler way to rate videos rather than using the five star system.
I don't like how you have to click on the Add to button to favorite a video, its just an unnecessary extra step. The comments are a bit messed up with the video responses added in with text comments and highest rated comments up top. It also seems like you can't access your quicklist or queue from the home screen.
Overall the changes aren't all that bad, it just means we have to adapt to the new setup.
